Leadership Clinton County celebrates 15 new graduates
MILL HALL, PA – Leadership Clinton County (LCC) held graduating ceremonies on Thursday to complete its 23rd year of the innovative training program. Participants spent the past nine months strengthening their leadership abilities to enhance the quality of life in Clinton County. Participants gained insight into the Clinton County community, developed individual and teambuilding skills, and acquired the self-confidence needed to make the greatest impact to strengthen the local community.
During the graduation ceremony, participants received congratulatory citations from the Clinton County Commissioners, as well as State Sen. Cris Dush and State Rep. Stephanie Borowicz. In addition, a plaque representing completion of the program was presented by Mike Flanagan, President and CEO of the Clinton County Economic Partnership.
The annual Wayne D. Briggs Award for 2023 was presented to Cory Vesey, who was selected by his classmates as someone who showed the most improvement throughout the program year. The award is given each year in memory of the late Wayne Briggs, a Leadership graduate and long-time community leader.
Selected by the class, Sarah Carrasquillo and Susan Peters served as graduation speakers during the ceremony. They spoke on their journey through the Leadership Clinton County program and all the unique opportunities they experienced over the past nine months.
