Obituary
Sharon M. Sheasley, 71, of Howard, Pa. passed away May 4th, 2023 at the Williamsport UPMC Hospital. She was born in Lock Haven on October 14th, 1951 to the late Gene E Andrus, Sr, and Mabel Fuller Andrus.
Sharon is survived by her husband, the love of her life, James W. Sheasley whom she married on July 31st 1976. Also surviving are her daughter Jessica L. Sheasley, PharmD of State College, her son & daughter-in-law Michael J. and Tina M. Sheasley, of Loganton, her grandchildren Ivy, Anna, Asher, Bently and Ashley, her sister-in-law Lee Ellen Sheasley of Williamsport and several other extended family members.
Sharon was preceded in death by her cherished parents and brother Gene (Bub) Andrus, Jr, and her brother-in-law Randy Sheasley.
Sharon was a 1969 graduate of the Bald Eagle Nittany High School and was a part of their class reunion committee, participating in & organizing routine meetings & gatherings, in addition to their reunions. After graduating, she served as secretary to the school guidance counselor for a number of years. She then became a professional homemaker after being surprised with twins in the delivery room. Mike & Jess kept her very busy throughout their earlier years & she was involved in all of the groups & activities that they participated in. Sharon was also an avid bowler & belonged to one of the local bowling leagues for many years in her younger days.
Sharon & her husband have been active members of the Saint Mark Lutheran Church of Howard, Pa. for over 40 years. Sharon was the superintendent of the Sunday school program for many years & has enjoyed contributing her time to all of the church activities, including choir, fellowship gatherings, fundraisers & charities. She was also a member of the Stonecroft Christian Woman’s Group & participated in their gatherings.
Sharon had a great love for animals, birds, wildlife, nature & the human spirit. She supported many charities far & wide over the years, always wanting to contribute anything she could to anyone or anything needing help. She believed in supporting all organizations for those who are less fortunate or struggling in any way. Sharon really looked forward to someday re-uniting with her beloved fur-baby Trixie & her furry grand-baby Roxie, the 2 little long-hair chihuahua sisters from Florida.
Sharon loved to travel and would have moved to the beach if she could have. She has gone on several cruises & she particularly loved Sanibel Island in Florida, the shelling capital of the world, Miramar Beach, FL. & Ocean City, Md.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Mill Hall, Pa. There will be a celebration of life in the near future.
