Phoenix with walk-off win
LOCK HAVEN, PA – After a one-sided loss to Muncy on Monday, the Sugar Valley Phoenix came back on Tuesday looking to correct some things and get back to putting runs on the board. Sugar Valley was down by a score of 5-2 in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs; then a late rally from junior Lance Winchester, senior Jordan Litz, sophomore Lincoln Breon and senior Gage Young got the team four unanswered runs to secure the walk off win by a score of 6-5.
The Phoenix, now 1-11, is back in action Thursday, hosting Montgomery (5-3) at Taggart Field at 4:30 p.m. followed by Saturday 11 a.m. matchup with Northeast Bradford (3-5) which will cap off this home stretch for the team. CMVT dropped to 4-9 with the loss.
