Wildcat track teams show continued improvement

SELINSGROVE, PA – It was a tri-meet marked by multiple personal bests for both boys and girls on the Central Mountain track team at Selinsgrove on Wednesday The boys finished second with 31.5 points, Selinsgrove on top with 118.5 and South Williamsport third with 26.7 points. Selinsgrove also took the girls side with 111 points, South Williamsport with 49 and Central Mountain with 39.

CM coach Ellie Sikorskas had words of praise for both her squads, “There are great improvements each weeks and PR’s from the track to the field.” She noted it was a hot evening and squad members held up well.

Wildcat Sam Wible took a first in the 400 meters in a time of 55.64. Firsts for the girls came from Abbey Wolfe in the 3200 meters in 11:59.9; the 4×800 relay team which included Wolfe, along with Grace Keohane, Calienna Cardinal and Sophia Croce in a time of 11:30.5; and Grace Rizzo in the discus, her distance 82-08..

The teams will next be in action Friday at Hollidaysburg.
