Jaycees provide Easter meals to senior citizens
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Jaycees provided Easter meals to approximately 400 area senior citizens during its annual Jaycees Senior Easter Dinner on Sunday. The meals included ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, corn, green beans, dessert and refreshments during two sit-down meals at noon and 2 p.m. in The Poorman Gallery, 352 E. Water St., Lock Haven, and by delivery from Jaycee members for those who could not travel to The Poorman Gallery.
The Jaycees would like to thank Weis Markets, in memory of Helen Kunes, Eagles, and Tom and Deb Mitchell.
The Jaycees have been preparing for months for the 52nd Jaycees Labor Day Regatta Sept. 1-4 on East Water Street from Jay to Henderson streets and in Canal Park. Fireworks will be Sunday, Sept. 3 at 10 p.m. Please call 570-748-6388 to become a street or arts and crafts vendor. The Jaycees meet the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the basement of The Poorman Gallery; meetings every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in June, July and August.
