Central Mountain tops ‘Shore, 4-1
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Central Mountain boys’ tennis team picked up a 4-1 Wednesday win at the Gibson Tennis Complex over visiting Jersey Shore.
Coach Jeff Brinker said, “The Wildcats played well at every spot today. It was nice to have the returning State Champion David Lindsay back playing as a Wildcat. David played a nice first match of the season and got the team out to an early 1-0 lead.” Each singles player and the number 2 doubles team got an early lead in each of their sets and never let go of it.
Coach Brinker said the number 1 doubles was an exciting match. Each set went to three tiebreakers with Jackson Proctor and Joe Caimi coming out at the end of the match on the wrong side. They battled a hard-fought match and it could have gone either way.”
The ‘Cats will be back in action at home on Thursday versus Central Columbia.
