Democratic judicial candidates visit Clinton County
MILL HALL, PA – Democratic voters in Clinton County got a chance to get to know a number of the judicial candidates running in the May 16 primary, as the Clinton County chapter of Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women hosted the Judicial Candidates’ Central PA Swing at Shanan Miller’s home, Sunday, Feb. 19.
Dianne Gregg, Rural Organizing Director for PA Dems who coordinated the Judicial Swing through Lycoming, Clinton, Centre and Union counties, said that this was the first time the candidates were in the central part of the state. “Clinton County has an excellent record of helping our candidates get their names on the ballot.” The judges made an earlier swing in the northeast, and later in the month will be in the northwestern parts of the state.
Candidates visiting included for Supreme Court, Deborah Kunselman and Daniel McCaffery, for Superior Court, Jill Beck, Patrick Dugan and Timika Lane, and for Commonwealth Court, Bryan Neff.
McCaffery, candidate for Supreme Court, spoke about the qualifications of all the candidates, “[The voters] have absolutely phenomenal choices.” According to a release on the visit, all the Democratic candidates running for Supreme Court are rated by the Pennsylvania Bar Association as highly qualified, as are both Jill Beck and Timika Lane, who are running for Superior Court.
