LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County Chief Clerk Jann Meyers has confirmed she will be leaving that post later this year.

County government on Friday posted word that applications are being accepted for the position of Chief Clerk, the slot occupied by Meyers since her hiring in 2015. Per the announcement, March 6 is the deadline to apply. The salary was listed at $57,139. Candidates must possess a bachelor or master’s degree in finance, business or public administration with an emphasis in finance, among other qualifications.

Present chief clerk Meyers on Monday told therecord-online she made her intentions known to the county commissioners during budget preparation time last year. Department heads were notified of the change earlier this month. The chief clerk said her last day will be June 9 and the commissioners hope to hire someone early in April so the two can work together for a couple months.

Meyers began her Clinton County duties in October of 2015, replacing Paula Kistler. She had previously been employed in the Financial Aid Office at Lock Haven University. Prior to that she had been the business manager for the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union financial center at the university.
