Wildcat swimmers split with Altoona
ALTOONA, PA – The Central Mountain girls swim team defeated Altoona Wednesday evening 90-69. Winners for the Wildcats were Ana Persun in the 200 Free & 100 Fly, Camryn Bair in the 50 Free & 100 Free, and Abrianna Hosley in the 500 Free. The girls also won the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay. The girls are now 8-3 and will travel to Northern Cambria on Thursday.
Meanwhile the boys swim team lost to host Altoona 96-67. Coach Scott Bair said first year swimmer Bryce Warren and freshman swimmer Rhys Swift both swam incredibly well. They both qualified for Districts in the 50 Free.
Jonathan Hughes led the way for the Wildcats winning the 200 Free and 100 Fly. The 200 Free Relay team of Swift, Wunder, Kaluzny, and Hughes fininshed first. The Cats are now 4-6-1 and likewise will travel to Northern Cambria on Thursday.
