CM swimmers sweep Milton

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Central Mountain girls swim team was back in action Saturday evening at LHU’s Zimmerli Natatorium. The girls looked impressive the entire evening as they defeated the visiting Milton Panthers 90-39.

The Lady Wildcats won 10 of the 11 races on the night. Individual winners for the Wildcats were Abrianna Hosley in the 200 Free & 100 Back, Camryn Bair in the 200 IM & 100 Breast, Ana Persun in the 50 Free & 100 Fly, and Lily McWilliams in the 500 Free. Camryn Bair’s win in the 200 IM was extra special as she broke the school record that was previously set in 2006 by Elyse Peterman. The 200 Medley Relay of Camryn Bair, Maia Crowell, Ana Persun, and Lily McWilliams finished ahead of Milton by 15 seconds. The 200 Free Relay team of Abrianna Hosley, Lily McWilliams, Maia Crowell, and Autumn Garman fininshed first. Finally, the 400 Free Relay of Hosley, Garman, Persun, and Bair capped the night off with a victory.

The girls are now 7-3 and will travel to Altoona on February 1st for their next meet.

And the Central Mountain boys swim team defeated a depleted Milton squad 112-5 in their last home meet of the season. The Wildcats won every contested race of the night. Individual winners on the evening were Neil Kaluzny in the 200 Free & 100 Free, Arthur McGuire in the 200 IM, Rhys Swift in the 50 Free & 100 Fly, Jonathan Hughes in the 500 Free & the 100 Back, and Radian Newcomer in the 100 Breast. Finishing 1st in the 200 Medley Relay were Neil Kaluzny, Arthur McGuire, Jonathan Hughes, and Owen Wunder. Taking the top spot in the 200 Free Relay was the team of Bryce Warren, Skylar Small, Dylan Russell, and Raiden Newcomer. The final relay of the night was won by Swift, Wunder, Kaluzny, and Hughes.

The Wildcats improved their record to 4-5-1 and will travel to Altoona on Wednesday, Feb. 1 for their next meet.
