Sugar Valley wrestlers finish third at Spartan Duals

HUGHESVILLE, PA – The Sugar Valley Phoenix went 3-2 at Saturday’s Spartan Duals in Hughesville to finish in third place. Wins came over Loyalsock, 36-24; Northeast Bradford, 46-21; and Sullivan County, 30-29. Losses were to Danville, 48-22, and the host Spartans, 48-15.

Kyle Stahl paced the Phoenix showing, going 5-0 at 215 pounds.

Now 3-3 on the season, Sugar Valley returns to the mat Monday night, hosting Wellsboro in its home opener. That will be the last Phoenix contest for December, back in action on Thursday, Jan. 5, home with South Williamsport.
