Selinsgrove Tops Central Mountain in Boys Basketball

MILL HALL-Central Mountain hosted Selinsgrove on Wednesday night, but the visiting Seals walked away with a 72-61 victory. Turnovers proved costly for the Wildcats, as they struggled against Selinsgrove’s aggressive defense.

Hunter Hoy led the Wildcats with 27 points, while Darius Shad added 19 and Noah Wells chipped in 9. Additional contributions came from Blake Walker (2), Max Verrelli (1), and Jeremy Reese (3).

Selinsgrove’s balanced scoring attack was led by Gavin Bastain with 21 points and Xavier Jackson with 16, helping the Seals secure the win.

The Wildcats move to 5-8 on the season and will look to regroup as they host Shikellamy on Saturday.
