Central Mountain High boys swimming finishes 6th at Bluejay Invite; Hughes takes gold, silver
BLOOMSBURG, PA – The Central Mountain boys swim team opened their season on Saturday competing at the Bluejay 1st Chance Invitational held at Bloomsburg University. Five of the ten CM swimmers competed on Saturday helping the Wildcats secure a 6th place finish. Sophomore Jonathan Hughes took the gold in the 200 IM and the silver in the 100 Breaststroke. Freshman Neil Kaluzny was the only other Wildcat to place in the top eight. Neil finished 6th in the 100 backstroke.
The 200 Boys Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay of Neil Kaluzny, Raiden Newcomer, Jonathan Hughes, and Owen Wunder finished 5th and 6th respectively. The swim team will travel to Bloomsburg on Dec. 20 for a tri-meet with Bloomsburg and Mount Carmel.
