LHU: Swimming Turns in Impressive Marks at Kutztown
KUTZTOWN, PA – The Lock Haven swimming team (0-2, 0-1 PSAC) traveled to Kutztown (2-1, 1-1 PSAC) for a dual meet against the Golden Bears in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) meet.
Lauren Mummert (York, Pa./Northeastern) led the way for the Bald Eagles as she took first in multiple events. Mummert took first in 200-yard IM with a time of 2:22.56. She also finished first in the 100-yard backstroke.
Sydney Houck (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon) took home the victory in her event today hitting a mark of 1:14.53 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Mummert and Emma Pequignot (Dover, Pa./Dover (Messiah)) finished second and third in the 100-yard butterfly with time of 1:04.57 and 1:05.49. Madison Griffin (Douglasville, Pa./Daniel Boone) swam herself to a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle.
The Bald Eagles 200-yard freestyle relay team took home a victory today. The team hit a time of 2:23.71 with Espefani Santos-Soto (Hazelton
Lock Haven had some great performances throughout the day but fell to Kutztown 106-83.
