Keystone Juniors take sectional opener, 22-0
WELLSBORO, PA – The Keystone Junior All-Stars have zipped through four games so far, winning all handily, including a 22-0 Monday win over Selinsgrove in a first-round sectional game played in Wellsboro.
Keystone scored in every inning, four in the first, seven in the second and 11 in the third. When Selinsgrove failed to score in the top of the fourth, the contest ended on the 15-run rule. Keystone had 11 hits on the evening, assisted by Selinsgrove errors and walks.
Darius Shade went 3-for-3, including a double, with two RBIs; Hunter Donley chipped in with two hits, including a triple, and four RBIs. Andrus had two singles, as did Aiden Jones and Cole Cooper. Singles came from Watt Probst (with three RBIs) Dane Hanna and J Bischof.
Three pitchers handled mound duties and combined for a no-hitter: Andrus went the first two and Jones and Bischof finished up with one inning each.
