County Planning Director de Silva stepping down

LOCK HAVEN, PA – Clinton County is in the market for a new planning director. Katie de Silva, planning director for the county for the past five years, confirmed to therecord-online on Wednesday that she would be retiring from the position as of Oct. 28. The county in the meantime has posted word on the search for a new director, application deadline this Friday, July 8.

de Silva said she is of retirement age and plans to spend more time with her family. She has been with Clinton County for the past decade, the first five years as grants administrator, the last five years as director. de Silva grew up in Danville but graduated from Lock Haven High School which she attended for her senior year as her father, the late George Moller, was radiologist at Lock Haven Hospital.

She said the county had announced the opening in the planning position recently in order to find quality applicants. She indicated there would be some overlap as the new director comes on board.
