Roy Altland – Obituary

WILLIAMSPORT – Roy Robert Altland, 84, formerly of York, died October 31, 2014 at the Williamsport Hospital.

Born in York, on February 5, 1930, he was the son of the late William and Gertrude (Bentz) Altland.

He was a crane operator with Precision Components in York retiring after 35 years of service.

Roy was an avid hunter, a member of the BD Club and Kettle Creek Tamarack Sportsmen’s Association.

He leaves the love of his life, Dawn I. (Harbold), his son, Robert L. Altland of Renovo, two daughters, Kathy A. Blouse and her husband, Chuck, and Doris L. Sweitzer and her husband, Randy all of York, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Roy also leaves behind Edward F. Golden, who he loved as a son, his wife Mika, and their two daughters, of Dover.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

The LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St.,York were entrusted with the arrangements.
