Obituary – Doris “Pearl” Felmlee (Groome)

Doris “Pearl” Felmlee (Groome) age 89, born May 26, 1936 passed on to her eternal rest in Christ on June 8, 2025. She passed away in the presence of her loving family at her home at Eagle Valley, Milesburg, Pa. Pearl was born in East Suffolk County, England to Arthur and Kathleen Groome. She met and married her husband William R. Felmlee who was stationed at RAF Shepherd’s Grove, Suffolk, England where Pearl worked at the ‘px’. They were married in England on April 2, 1956 and had a blessed marriage until her husband’s death in October of 2019.

She is survived by four children: son, Guy and (Tammy) Felmlee of Sigel, Pa., son, Rob and (Leslie) Felmlee of Lock Haven, Pa., daughter, Stacy and (Adam) Hunt of Beech Creek, Pa. and son, Chad and (Holly) Felmlee of Beech Creek, Pa. Pearl is survived by seven adoring grandchildren, Adam and (Leah) Felmlee of Lenoir, N.C., Hannah and (Jacob) Nash of Summerville, Pa., Aaron Felmlee of Sigel, Pa., Duffy Felmlee of Torrington, Connecticut, Lydia and (Bob) Shafer of Bellefonte, Pa., Ethan and (Sydney) Hunt of Beech Creek, Pa., and Alison Hunt of Beech Creek, Pa., and two step-grandchildren, Justin Etters of Lock Haven, Pa. and Emily Etters, Jersey Shore, Pa. Pearl is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Lock Haven, Pa, where she served in several teaching capacities sharing her love for Jesus to children. She was a host and teacher with Child Evangelism Fellowship opening her home to 5-day clubs for many years. She was often invited as a guest speaker for Christian ladies ministries. She loved her family and showed that love by being a profound prayer warrior on their behalf and on the behalf of anyone that requested prayer. She never stopped sharing her faith even to the last asking everyone “Do you know Jesus?” Her family rest in the fact that now our mother truly does ‘know Jesus’.

‘Miss Pearl’ will also be lovingly remembered by her Eagle Valley family who she adored and they her.

Funeral Services for Doris “Pearl” Felmlee will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at 12:00 noon in the Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services LLC 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven , Pa. Officiating will be pastor Doug Packard of the First Baptist Church, Lock Haven Pa. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home from 10 am until time of services. Interment will be in the Schenck Cemetery, Howard Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be named in Pearl’s name to the Eagle Valley Nursing Home, 500 Front St., Miles burg Pa 16853.
