D-4 Playoffs: Bulldogs Host Shamokin Friday

js-footballJERSEY SHORE — On the strength of their first undefeated season in over half a century, the Jersey Shore Bulldogs have earned a home game this Friday night in the District 4 semi-final Triple-A championships.

It will be the Bulldogs (10-0) hosting the Shamokin Indians (5-5) at 7 p.m. at the Thompson Street Field. ‘Shore defeated Shamokin 36-14 in the regular season.

The other semifinal this upcoming weekend will see Selinsgrove (7-3) host Shikellamy (6-4).
Jersey Shore also holds wins over both those teams, 16-10 over Selinsgrove and 27-7 over the Braves. Semifinal winners will meet the weekend of Nov. 14-15 for the district title.

The District 4 champ will draw the survivor among Districts 5, 6, 8 and 9; teams in the playoffs there are Somerset (9-1), Clearfield (8-2), Johnstown (7-3) and Punxsutawney (6-4).

Jersey Shore finished its perfect season on Friday night, downing Central Mountain 56-13.
