State COVID cases inching up


HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Tuesday reported 2,134 new cases. The state’s rolling 7-day average of new cases increased to 2,069, the highest amount since Feb. 25.

The state reported 731 residents hospitalized, an increase of 49 from Monday. Those in intensive care units numbered 84, up two from the previous day.

Clinton County reported four new cases for a total of 9,089. Centre County increased by 26 for a total of 35,703 and Lycoming County reported 15 new cases for a total of 28,676.

The state reported 34 new deaths as the Clinton County figure remained at 126.
