State COVID cases continue climb


HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Thursday reported 2,564 new cases, the highest one-day amount since Feb. 26.

The state reported 621 residents hospitalized, up 35 from Wednesday and the first time over 600 since March 21. Those in intensive care units numbered 63.

Clinton County reported no new cases for a total of 9,077. Centre County increased by 38 for a total of 35,590 and Lycoming County reported 18 new cases for a total of 28,614.

The state reported 12 new deaths as the Clinton County figure remained at 126.
