FARWELL — This year Bucktail’s annual game against Carson Long (0-7) at Lock Haven University this Friday night at 7:00 PM will have some big stakes on the line. For Bucktail (0-8) it would be their only victory of the season. For Carson Long it could break a long losing streak and provide a rare win in their annual season- ending rivalry game against the Bucks.
Going into the game last Friday night against Nativity BVM, Bucktail had to feel confident enough that they could play with this team and come out with a win as they scored 30 points against BVM a month ago. The thing was that the Bucks still did not have an answer to stop the Green Wave as they won 34-0.

BVM took the opening drive 61 yards on 10 plays for a touchdown by Jeff Yordy. Nativity’s Yordy did just about everything as he had 109 yards rushing, caught eight passes for 127 yards, 51 yards on punt returns and intercepted a pass and scored four of the five touchdowns.

With the score 14-0 BVM, Bucktails second drive was looking promising as they were running the ball well. Senior Aaron Ransdorf was carrying the load as he ended up with 118 yards rushing on 30 carries. After an Anthony Intallura carry of 17 yards, Bucktail would fumble the ball over to BVM.

On the next play by BVM, Bucktail recovered a fumble on the Nativity 31 yard line. Bucktail quarterbacks of Mike Casper, Blake Gavlock and A. Intallura would throw a total of four interceptions as the first one came on the second play.

Halftime would come as the Green Wave led 28-0. Bucktail would have some nice drives in the second half of the game as they would just come to a stall. The only thing that went wrong for BVM is they missed the extra point on the fifth touchdown as they would have been in the mercy rule. Casper and A. Intallura tried helping out in the rushing area as they had 25 and 18 yards respectively.

For Coach Bruce Ransom and his Bucks, they will go back to the drawing board one last time this week and be ready for Carson Long.
