LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven Branch YMCA Gymnastics Team is opening their season Friday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m. at the YMCA with a free public showcase.

Gymnasts from all three teams will be performing on all pieces of equipment. Doors open at 4:45 with the gymnasts walking out at 5 p.m. Vault and bars will be up first, followed by beam and floor.

The gymnastics team has a full slate of competitions following the showcase; gymnasts will be competing at Garver Memorial YMCA’s AMGL kick-off event Saturday, followed by a tri-meet the following weekend against Garver Memorial and Huntingdon Community Center in Roaring Springs. Their first home meet is Saturday, Dec. 18 at 9:30a.m. hosting Blair Regional YMCA.

This is also an alumni appreciation meet. Any past team member in attendance will be recognized at the conclusion of floor routines (around 11a.m.) and a few are brave enough to sign up to perform. If any alumni gymnast is interested in attending, please reach out to Head Coach Becky Conklin at jbc154@comcast.net. There will be a short social after the meet for past team members.
