PennDOT announces open house plan display for Lockport link to Riverview Park
CLEARFIELD, PA – PennDOT will soon hold an “Open House/Public Plans Display” for what it formally is calling the SR 1001 Improvement Project. Informally the work is to include a pedestrian connector from the Woodward Township side of the Veterans Bridge to the township’s nearby Riverview Park.
The informational meeting will be in an open house format with PennDOT and consultant staff available to answer questions. The open house will be held on Tuesday, Dec.14. Attendees will be able to review the displays and give their comments any time between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The open house meeting will present the revised plans for future improvements to what is commonly known as the Farrandsville Road (Clinton County, SR 1001 Section C01). PennDOT said in a release the displays for the Farrandsville Road Retaining Wall with Pedestrian Facility incorporate development of the alignment based on environmental constraints, constructability concepts, and engineering requirements. Right-of-way impacts will be available for review and comment.
The project has been up for discussion for several years and the Woodward Township supervisors have been monitoring the proposal.
Specifics of the plans display are:
