LOCK HAVEN, PA – A walk-up COVID testing site is now open for the public in Clinton County. The Clinton County site is Lock Haven University’s East Campus, the former Lock Haven High School gymnasium building on W. Main Street.

County commissioner Angela Harding said at Thursday’s commissioners meeting that 195 tests were administered on Tuesday, the first day at the site, another 47 on Wednesday.

The Lock Haven site runs through Saturday, Dec. 11. Tuesday through Friday, testing is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday testing is available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The location can accommodate up to 450 visitors a day.

Harding said the testing is available for those age three and older. Harding said the local COVID coalition met this week and learned that all area hospitals are at or exceeding capacity due to COVID and other medical reasons, what she termed “busting at the seams.” The state reported 29 new cases in Clinton County on Thursday, part of a caseload uptick over the last month.

Visitors are encouraged to bring a photo-ID, but ID is not required to be tested. Registration will also be completed on-site.
