Monday COVID cases update


HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Monday reported 3,010 new COVID-19 cases statewide, the lowest number of new cases in a week. .

The state said there are 2,713 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, the highest number since May 5 and up 22 from Sunday. Of those hospitalized 648 are in intensive care units, down 12 from Sunday; 341 reported on ventilators, down ten from the previous day.

In Clinton County seven new cases were reported on Monday, bringing the total to 4,289; that is the smallest number of new cases since Sept. 21. Centre County saw an increase of 20 on Monday to 19,189, while Lycoming County increased by 34 to 14,162.

Ten new deaths were reported by the state; the death count in Clinton County remained at 71.
