Sunday COVID cases update
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Sunday reported 4,247 new COVID-19 cases statewide, the sixth day in a row the state has reported more than 4,000 new cases.
The state said there are 2,691 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, the highest number since May 5 and up 14 from Saturday. Of those hospitalized 660 are in intensive care units, down two from Saturday; 351 reported on ventilators, unchanged from the previous day.
In Clinton County 24 new cases were reported on Sunday, bringing the total to 4,282. Centre County saw an increase of 65 on Sunday to 19,169, while Lycoming County increased by 67 to 14,128.
13 new deaths were reported by the state; the death count in Clinton County remained at 71.
