Clinton Covid cases drop back to 11
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health on Friday reported 5,071 new COVID-19 cases statewide and a surge in COVID-related hospitalizations. New cases in Clinton County dropped back to 11 after hitting a summer/fall high of 31on Thursday.
The state said there are 2,641 hospitalized patients due to COVID-19, the highest number since May 5 and up 88 from Thursday. Of those hospitalized 662 are in intensive care units, an increase of 29 from Thursday; 324 reported on ventilators, up 13 from the previous day.
In Clinton County 11 new cases were reported on Friday, bringing the total to 4,225. Centre County saw an increase of 73 on Friday to 19,024, while Lycoming County increased by 66 to 14,001.
34 new deaths were reported by the state; the death count in Clinton County remained at 71.
