The storm is gone, but problems remain

CLINTON COUNTY, PA – Officials are assessing the damage caused by a heavy rain storm that deluged Clinton County from Wednesday into Thursday morning.

Among the hardest hit were Haywoods on the Green and the Clinton Country Club along Fishing Creek in Bald Eagle Township and the nearby Millbrook Playhouse. The rising streams caused the Keystone Central School District to send students home early on Thursday.

* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 2:30 PM EDT Thursday was 11.6 feet.
* Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling to 10.1 feet Sunday morning.
* Impact…At 10.0 feet, Overgrown pastures and agricultural fields on the left bank are affected by high water.
* Impact…At 11.0 feet, High water levels threaten the cottage area of Mill Hall downstream of Beech Creek Station.
* Impact…At 13.0 feet, Homes in the cottage area are isolated by high water from Bald Eagle Creek.
