LOCK HAVEN – Come on down to the 1900 Red Barn at 652 Island Road in Lock Haven, PA, for an old-fashioned country dance in a wonderful rustic barn on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.

The McNett Country Band will play and call line dances, square and round dances as well as take song requests from dance-goers. Don’t know how to country dance or have a dance partner? Not to worry – that is what makes country dancing so great! The steps for square & round dances will be called by the band and band members will lead everyone through the steps of line dances. Since you’ll be dancing in lines, squares, & rounds there will be lots of partners for each type of dance. Call a friend or two and join the members of the Clinton County Historical Society for an evening of dancing, socializing, eating and just plain fun on October 10. The country dance is a fund-raising event for the CCHS.

Included in the $20 per person ticket price is live music, harvest soups, homestyle breads, and beverages; beer and wine available. Tickets are available at the Heisey Museum, 362 East Water Street, Lock Haven, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or call the Museum at 570-748-7254 and leave a message; Downtown Lock Haven, Inc., 205 East Main Street, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until noon; from members of the CCHS board of directors and via Pay Pal at www.clintoncountyhistory.com. Tickets will be available for purchase at The Red Barn the night of the dance.

The CCHS extends a huge Thank You to these fine sponsors whose generous support made this event possible: Lock Haven University, Appalachian Drilling Services, Inc., First Quality Products, Woodlands Bank, Weis Markets, Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, Country Barn Restaurant, Gatsby Party Rentals, and Domino’s Pizza.
