Obituary

Patricia Faye Swartz, 87, of Flemington passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at Susque View Home, Lock Haven.

Born December 26, 1933 in Flemington, she was a daughter of the late Eldon and Grace Spotts, Jr.

Patricia was the wife of Jack Swartz who preceded her in death in 1999.

While a student at Lock Haven High School, she was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corp of Flemington.  She traveled with the group and even received awards for their performance in Philadelphia.

Accompanied by her favorite aunt, Aunt Faye Kinley, Patricia made her way to Harper Beauty School in Rochester, NY.  Upon returning to the area, she was a beautician with Diane Stuempfle Beauty Salon.

After her husband’s passing, Patricia became a host for Exchange Students at Lock Haven University.

She was known for her excellent baking- especially her apple pies and dumplings.

Patricia lived her whole life in Flemington and will always be a Red Eye at heart.

Surviving are her children, Colleen (Douglas) Masters of Clemmons, North Carolina and Karl (Deborah) Swartz of Dunnstown; her sister, Joan Gruendler of Lock Haven; her sisters-in-law, Leona Yorks of Lock Haven and Helen Spotts of Williamsport; two grandchildren: Hunter Swartz of Antes Fort and Kole Swartz of Dunnstown; two step-granddaughters in North Carolina; four step-great grandchildren; and many cousins.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eldon “Bucky” Spotts, Jr.

A Memorial Service for Patricia will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
