Details released on last week’s Wayne Township bridge crash

WAYNE TOWNSHIP, PA – State police on Monday released details on a July 21 accident on the Route 220 bridge crossing the Susquehanna River in Wayne Township. The mishap saw the driver, Amanda Fuller, seriously injured when she was ejected from her vehicle. The 20-year-old Lock Haven resident was Life-Flighted to Geisinger Danville.

According to the police report, the eastbound Fuller vehicle went out of control and crashed into a bridge abutment. The vehicle then slid, overturned and rolled over several times during which time the driver was ejected.

A second car was involved when debris from the Fuller vehicle struck it, causing minor damage. That vehicle was driven by Ryan Neatrour, 49, from Hughesville.

A second, chain-reaction crash followed the initial accident; one suspected minor injury was reported by police in that accident. Their report said Andriani Chrilstoforou of Elk Grove Village, IL, failed to notice that traffic was stopped for the initial accident. Her vehicle ran into the rear of a vehicle operated by Margaret Walker of Flemington; the Walker vehicle pushed into another vehicle, this one operated by Austin Barnes of South Williamsport.

Police said Walker was taken to UPMC Lock Haven for treatment of suspected minor injuries and Barnes suffered a possible injury but was not transported for treatment.
