Jude Randolph Richardson – Obituary
Jude Randolph Richardson, 80, born in St Louis, Mo. January 22, 1941 died May 7, 2021. Jude graduated from Saranac Lake High School, Saranac Lake, New York in 1958.
He was retired from 38 years government service which included service in the Navy, the Navy Department, the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry, and the USPS. He also spent 9 years as an electrical test engineer in electrical power plant startups. He held a BS in Forest Management from Purdue University and MS in Human Resources and Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. He was a charter member of the Kettle Creek Hose Company, a life member of the Kettle Creek Ambulance Association, and a longtime member of The Hepburn Township Volunteer Fire Company. Jude was a frequent contributor to “Letters” in the Williamsport Sun Gazette. Jude was a benefactor life member of the NRA and a member of the American Legion Post 1 in Williamsport.
He is predeceased by his mother, Noel; a sister Ishbel and a daughter Kathryn. He is survived by a son Bruce and a daughter Glynis of New York State and sons Thomas Richardson of Gilbert, AZ, Robert Richardson of Harrisburg, PA, and grandson Eric of Stockton, CA, and great-grandchildren Matthew Milton and Savannah Richardson in California. He married Constance Hill Richardson RN October 16, 1967 who survives. He also is survived by his brother, Duncan of Port Saint Lucie. Florida.
Jude was a competitor in lumberjack events in his earlier years and an expert woodsman. In his later years he enjoyed paddling racing canoes and kayaks. Although he didn’t outwardly display his faith, Jude never missed an opportunity when Jesus commanded. His favorite song being, “It is well with my Soul”. Contributions in his memory can be made to his favorite charities: Toys for Tots and Bucktail Medical Center, Renovo, PA.
