FARWELL, PA -This weeks Bucktail “Athlete of the Week” is Jordan Burrows. In the games Bucktail has played, Jordan has been pivotal out of her leadoff spot getting games off to a fast start offensively. She has 6 ABs and is 6-6 with 6 RBIs, 6 runs and 3 stolen bases. In an interview with Jordan I asked her what she thought about teamwork. ¨Teamwork means everything in this game. You play for the team, not for yourself. We were able to make it this far because of teamwork,¨ said Jordan. Two years ago when the softball team won districts Jordan was only a freshman and without teamwork they would not have made it as far as they did. When asked what she was most proud of in her career she said,¨I am proud of the team’s accomplishments, along with my individual accomplishments. Becoming an All-State Catcher and getting Breakthrough Underclassman of the year my freshman season, then getting Player of the Week right off the bat.¨ To end, Jordan stated,¨I am beyond proud to be a Bucktail Buck. A lot of people believe that we cannot accomplish as much as we have and are continuing to do. We have proved many people wrong, and we have done so much for our school and this sport.¨
