Party Picnics Prepare for November Campaigns

Clinton County’s two major political parties held their annual September picnics on Sunday, a sign the November election cannot be far behind. In addition to the statewide gubernatorial race, Pennsylvania’s 5th district congressional contest will be a local focal point. The two candidates were present at their respective picnics, joined by their county chairmen: above, Democratic congressional challenger Kerith Strano Taylor with county party chairman Joe Waltz; below, incumbent congressman Glenn Thompson (in the Clinton County GOP sweatshirt) and county GOP chairman Kurtis Smith.
