Harvest Days Celebration

LOCK HAVEN – The second annual Harvest Days celebration was held Sept. 6 at the Station Gallery. This is the largest fund raiser for the Clinton County Arts Council. The Harvest Days Celebration featured music, crafts, kids activities, face painting; great food, including a pig roast, kettle corn and lots of tempting baked goods.

Music was provided by SNUG, Richard Morris and Gnarled Knuckles. A pastel workshop was also offered by Theresa Crowley Spitler, for those interested in learning about working with pastels.

A ‘cruise’ was also held on the grounds featuring antique vehicles and hot rods. Close up magic was provided by Tony G and Mr. T was on hand to entertain with balloon sculptures.

The Station Gallery has on display the Historical Art of Clinton County, Early to mid 20th century.

Work was included by six local artists – Annie Snyder, John Sloan, Paul H. Welch, Edna Bottorf, John Dixon and Louise Brown Richey. Pieces were on loan Clinton County art collectors, the Heisey Museum and the Lock Haven University. This show will be on display until September 13th.

The next opening reception will be held on Friday, September 19th from 6-9 p.m. featuring Peg Johnston, Karen Elias and Joe Bitner. The show will continue until October 11th.
