The Salvation Army says “Thank you”
LOCK HAVEN – The Salvation Army and Lock Haven Rotary Club are so grateful to our community for embracing the backpack project. For the past 3 years the Lock Haven Rotary Club have partnered with us to supply and pack backpacks for our at risk youth. This year Rotary provided $1000.00 to fund 100 backpacks.
We would like to thank everyone who made it possible for 200 area children to receive a back pack filled with the necessities needed for their school grade to give them a head start for the school year. For each student it eliminates the embarrassment of not having the same supplies that the other children in their grades have and raises their self-esteem by not singling them out. Having the back packs will enhance their learning experience as they will have the tools needed for their classes.
Our sincere appreciation to Northwest Savings Bank, One Main Financial, Rote United Methodist Church, McElhattan United Methodist Church, Arbys, Bald Eagle Nittany Valley Kiwanis, Lock Haven Kiwanis, Clinton County Fire Chief’s, Bewery Hollow Outsiders, Horizon Federal Credit Union, Knights of Columbus, Caldwell United Methodist Church, Lock Haven Moose, Geisinger of Lock Haven, and many individuals. Great things happen when we work together!
