“To Be or Not to Be” Shakespeare’s, Hamlet used the soliloquy to decide as to ‘Live or Die’. “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” Patrick Henry used the phrase in reference to, “Being Free or Willing to Die, to be Free”… The two are kind of related by way of our modern-day decision vs. the virus, ‘To Wear a Mask or Not to Wear a Mask ?.. aka…’Live or Die’ (depending on your decision) and as to ‘Liberty or Give Me Death’.. aka.. Give up ones liberty so as not to die (freedom, as granted in the Constitution or a forced illegal ‘scare-tactic’ to live with). A wee-bit of a stretch, but similar to some extent. After all, Linus (Lucy’s little brother in the Peanuts comic strip) lugged a security-blanket with him everywhere he went (as he sucked-his-thumb), and it seemed to work. Nothing evil seemed to befall him. So if you feel secure wearing a mask, do It. They’ tell us it works, or, does it!? Test: Try putting your mask in place over your nose and mouth, breathe out, (as a heavy exhale), onto a mirror or any glass pane. Does the glass fog-up? Now, look up (your choice of reference) the measurable-size of the virus droplets in the breath of someone with the virus, as compared to the size of the droplets expelled during normal healthy breathing, in and out. Are the virus droplets tiny enough to enter your lungs through your mask? You decide whether or not the mask is a preventive virus panacea. Too, it’s been said, those wearing a mask have a tendency to adjust it, move it around, and re-position it… with, un-gloved hands. Any chance of the virus being on your hands from touching something… door knob, money, any item pre-purchased…anything, touched by someone w/ the virus? It’s been written that the virus can enter your body via your eyes. True? Who knows? There’s so much written about the pros and cons of contracting the virus, how does one know what to believe? Even if the mask stops a miniscule amount, it’s worth the inconvenience of wearing it. I get it. Or is the whole thing part of being, Conditioned? Now we’re back to Linus and his blanket.
The world-renown Dr. Fauci, the world-acclaimed scientific medical Guru has been all-over-the-board, with his information on how to handle the pandemic and how to prevent it. The possibility (or not) of a vaccine even arriving on the scene relatively soon, and whether or not a vaccine will even work when it does. All I know is he loves the air-time the news media gives him. There’ a picture of him attending the opening game of the Washington Nationals (baseball team) during the past week. When the photo was snapped Dr. Fauci was sitting w/ his wife and one other unidentified person. His mask was under his chin (while the other two next to him had theirs’ in place). The statement under the photo reads “Dr. Fauci has now been unmasked! He’s a Fraud!” His cover (excuse)? “I did have my mask around my chin, I took it down because I was totally dehydrated. I was drinking water trying to hydrate myself”. Ah… actually. He had his cell-phone in his hand. His water-bottle was in a pouch around his waist. He was looking at his phone screen when the photo was snapped. Dr. Fauci, who now advocates wearing a mask, didn’t originally recommend them back in March. He said, “When you’re in the middle of an outbreak, wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better and it might even block a droplet, but it’s not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is. And, often, there are unintended consequences, people keep ‘fiddling’ w/ the mask and keep touching they’re face.”
Dr. Fauci, now says, we would today, be ‘somewhat’ better off if people had been continually wearing masks back at the onset of the virus. He went on to say, “I mean, you acted on the information you had at the time”… I believe that in the context of that, it was not unreasonable what was being done at the time. But as you get more information, the way we have right now, there’s no question of what we should be doing, and that’s why everyone is uniformly recommending the use of masks.” So I guess ‘you’ could say, he didn’t know a, ‘HiIl-Of-Beans’, about the effectiveness of masks, or even why doctors and nurses wear them during surgery? Too, another ‘Cover’ expressed later by him as to his March comment was, “I was trying to keep the public from ‘gobbling-up’ masks that were much needed and in short supply by medical personnel at the time” My. My. I think that’s called, ‘covering-ones-backside’, eh? President Trump has the Doctor figured out, though. It’s called “Keep Your Friends Close, Keep Your Enemies Closer”
Open The Schools, Mr. President… or, do everything you can to withhold Federal monies from those that would rather see the economy collapse again with a further shut down. And, don’t ALLOT A SINGLE-DIME to the Democrat states and cities that sanction these riots. Help? Let them eat cake, bail them out and they’ll bite the hand that feeds them…
