Almost Done: Lucky 7 Travel Plaza

LOCK HAVEN – Employees and outside contractors are this week putting the finishing touches on the Lucky 7 Travel Plaza located just off the Walnut Street exit of Paul Mack Boulevard.

Workers were stocking the convenience store on Wednesday and the gas pumps are now operational. A Lucky 7 spokesman said a “soft opening” will come this week and a grand opening will occur soon, likely sometime in mid-August.

Sharanjit “Sonny” Singh, owner and operator of the Bald Eagle Truck Stop in McElhattan, is the Lucky 7 developer. The Walnut Street plaza will also include a Wayback Burgers franchise at the site and a slot machine/casino area (five slots machines have been approved by the state). 24 newjobs are being created over the next three years.

The new Lock Haven plaza is over 10,000 square feet, about double the size of the Bald Eagle Truck Stop in Wayne Township. The new travel plaza is located just west of the new access road off Walnut Street for truck traffic to First Quality.
