Ross Library Expands Books By Mail Service

Lock Haven, PA- In addition to current lobby service, Annie Halenbake Ross Library is opening its Books By Mail service to patrons who are in high-risk groups for complications from COVID-19. Patrons can call the library at 570-748-3321 to request to be added to the program. Books are mailed out based on favorite genres or authors and are sent one book at a time. This service will continue to high-risk groups after the library opens its stacks to patrons.

The library building itself will more fully open to patrons soon. Ross Library is waiting for guidance from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries regarding the “Green” phase, and will allow people into the main part of the building once that is received. When the library opens more fully to patrons, some services will still be limited.

In the meantime, books, DVDs and other materials can be obtained by using the webform at www.rosslibrary.org or by calling 570-748-3321 (or 570-748-3484 for children’s materials). Materials will be pulled based on title or author/genre, and will be waiting in the lobby for pickup. Appointments are needed. Other services being offered: Free printing (10 pages) from mobile devices or laptops, free photocopying (10 pages), free wifi on the patio, and an internet and printer-accessible machine.

Ross Library would like to thank everyone for their support and patience during this time as they attempt to conduct library services in the safest manner possible.
