Wildcats Secure Victory Over Midd-West, 67-55
MIDDLEBURG-The Central Mountain boys basketball team hit the road Saturday evening and battled to a hard-fought 67-55 victory over Midd-West. The win improves the Wildcats’ record to 5-6 on the season as they prepare to host Forest Hills on Monday night.
Central Mountain took control early, outscoring Midd-West 17-9 in the first quarter and adding 14 points in the second for a 31-18 halftime lead. Midd-West rallied in the second half, but the Wildcats’ balanced offense and a 22-point fourth quarter secured the win.
Hunter Hoy led the Wildcats with 13 points, while Noah Wells added 12 and Max Verrelli contributed 10. Darius Shade chipped in with 9 points, Jeremy Reese and Isah Dorman each scored 8, and Blake Walker added 7 to round out the scoring for Central Mountain.
The Wildcats will aim to build on this victory when they return to their home court on Monday evening to take on Forest Hills.
