Mid-State COVID-19 Cases: Clinton to 55, Centre to 150, Lyco to 162

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Thursday update, confirmed as of 12:00 p.m., May 28, that there are an additional 625 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 70,042. The department also reported a new death total of 5,373, an increase of 108 from Wednesday.

Clinton County cases advanced one to 55, Centre County up one to 150 and Lycoming County up one to 162. Other counties adjoining Clinton all stayed the same over the past 24 hours: Clearfield, 37; Cameron, 2; Potter, 4; and Union, 56.

There are 357,804 people who have tested negative statewide to date. The state Health Department listing said of state residents afflicted with the virus, 64 percent of them have recovered. That number of tests is 561 in Clinton County, up 13 from Wednesday.
