LHU Women’s Basketball edged by Seton Hill in high-scoring battle

GREENSBURG, Pa. – Four Lock Haven women’s basketball players scored in double figures, but the Bald Eagles fell in a high-scoring road contest at Seton Hill, 98-85, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East vs. West crossover game on Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 17).

Jenadia Jordan powered Lock Haven with a game-high 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting, hitting 2-of-4 from three and 7-of-8 at the line while adding six rebounds, four assists and five steals.

Madeline Evans posted a double-double with 16 points and a game-best 11 rebounds, going 4-of-6 from the floor and 8-of-10 at the stripe to go with four assists and a block.

Rhlyn Rouse was efficient inside with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting and seven rebounds, and Alana Robinson added 10 points, six boards, four assists, a block and a steal in a well-rounded effort.

Robinson became the first Bald Eagle in program-history to secure 200 career blocks.

Off the bench, Lacey Kriebel and Julia Whesper each chipped in from long range as the Lock Haven reserves combined for 17 points.

The Bald Eagles led 44–40 at halftime, but the Griffins erupted for 58 second-half points, using a 28-point third quarter to seize control.

In the final period, the Griffins continued to convert in the paint and at the line, posting 30 points in the quarter to keep Lock Haven at arm’s length despite the Bald Eagles’ 23-point quarter.

Lock Haven shot 49 percent from the field (30-of-61), a strong 50 percent from three-point range (6-of-12) and 86 percent at the foul line (19-of-22).

Seton Hill countered by hitting 54 percent from the floor (37-of-68) and 10-of-28 from three, piling up 50 points in the paint and 23 fast-break points.

Lock Haven fell to 3–4 overall and 0–2 in PSAC play, while Seton Hill improved to 6–2 (2–0 PSAC).
