Mid-State COVID-19 Cases: Clinton to 54, Centre to 148, Lyco to 161
HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Tuesday update, confirmed as of 12:00 p.m., May 26, that there are an additional 451 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 68,637. The department also reported a new death total of 5,152, an increase of 13 from Monday. The number of cases and virus-related deaths continue a downward daily trend statewide.
Clinton County cases moved up three to 54, Centre County up one to 148 and Lycoming County up one to 161. Other counties adjoining Clinton: Clearfield, 37; Cameron, 2; Potter, 4; and Union, 56.
There are 339,835 people who have tested negative statewide to date. The state Health Department listing said of state residents afflicted with the virus, 61 percent of them have recovered. That number of tests is 544 in Clinton County.
