Clinton COVID-19 Cases to 17; Centre County to 77; Lyco to 48

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Health, in its Friday update, confirmed as of 12 p.m., April 24, that there are an additional 1,599 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 38,652. The department also reported a new death total of 1,492, an increase of 71 from Thursday. The state death count by county has changed this week, most recently showing Centre County with one, Lycoming County and Clinton County both with zero. Earlier this week the state had reported there were two Lycoming County residents who died from the virus.

Clinton County cases moved to 17; Lycoming moved up to 48; and Centre County up one to 77. Other counties adjoining Clinton: Clearfield, 11; Cameron, 1; Potter, 4; and Union, at 31, all unchanged from Thursday, except for Union, up one.

There are 147,491 people who have tested negative statewide to date.
