Statewide COVID-19 Numbers Spike; Clinton County Remains Case-free
HARRISBURG – While the state of Pennsylvania reports another big one-day jump yet in coronavirus cases, Clinton County continues as one of now just five Pennsylvania counties without a confirmed case.
Thursday figures from the state Health Department show that the number of reported cases in the state jumped by 1,211 from yesterday, the biggest increase yet, for a statewide total of 7,016. 90 deaths have been attributed to the virus, an increase of 16 from Wednesday. The state said 47,698 tests statewide came back negative.
Updated county totals from the mid-state: Clinton, 0; Lycoming, 7 (unchanged from Wednesday); Centre, 28 (an increase of 1 from Wednesday); Potter, 2; Clearfield, 4; Cameron, 1 and Union, 2.
Other counties with no reported cases to date include Sullivan, Jefferson, Elk and Fulton.
