Men’s Wrestling kicks off its week of BIG 10 action by visiting No. 21 Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. – The Lock Haven men’s wrestling team kicked off its week in the Midwest by visiting No. 21 Wisconsin on Thursday night, Dec. 18. Wisconsin won the match, 24-11.

Despite the result, the Bald Eagles (2-2 overall) hung with the unbeaten Badgers (6-0 overall), surrendering just one tech fall and zero falls. Five of Wisconsin’s victories came by a decision.

Lock Haven matched the Badgers in tech falls after No. 22 Wyatt Henson downed Carson Exferd, 21-6, at 141.

No. 32 Avery Bassett and Sam Gautreau rounded out the individual victories for The Haven with back-to-back wins at 174 and 184.

Bassett won 9-6 in sudden victory over Luke Condon at 174, while Gautreau continued his hot run with a 4-2 decision over Cale Anderson at 184.
