Lady ‘Cat Tennis Romps over Seals, 5-0

tennisBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Central Mountain girls’ tennis squad continued their domination in conference play with another 5-0 sweep. This time the victim was visiting Selinsgrove.

Kendall McCluskey defeated Selinsgrove’s Daisy Ettinger, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles while at No. 2 singles, Carolina Carpenetti handed a 6-2, 6-1 loss to the Seal’s Emeline Snook. Olivia Anastos closed out the singles action for CM with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Selinsgrove’s, Avery DeFazio at No. 3 singles.

Central Mountain’s Natalie Brown and Kati Kwiatek defeated the Lady Seal duo of Taylor Paulhamus and Neera Scholl, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles followed by Ella Talbot and Jesse Piergallini completing the sweep with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles over Fiona Finnerty and Maddie Rowen, 6-2, 6-1.

The win takes the Lady ‘Cats to 5-1 overall, 5-0 in PHAC play.

Next up for Central Mountain will be a road trip to Williamsport on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 that could have conference championship implications.
