Wildcats Open with ‘First Friday Invitational’ Title
TOWANDA – The Central Mountain golf team opened the 2019 with a big road win at the Jerry Smith Memorial First Friday Invitational tournament.
The Wildcats edged Tunchannock by four strokes with a combined score of 356 in the eight team tourney.
Jason Floruss set the pace for the ‘Cats with a round of 80 followed by Brady Williams with 83 and Gunner Redmond with 96. Zach Somers had a 97 and Peyton Newlen rounded out the squad with a 101.
Central Mountain will open the regular season on Tuesday, August 20 when they will host BEA, Philipsburg-Osceola and Tyrone at the Clinton Country Club for a non-league match.
