William D. Garrison – Obituary
William D. Garrison, 78, of Cross Fork, PA passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019.
He was born February 20, 1941 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Hunter & Margaret Carbaugh Garrison.
Bill was a retired Mechanic for ABF Trucking, Carlisle and a member of the Teamsters Union 776. He was also a member of the Kettle Creek Tamarack Sportsmen Association.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jane Feather Garrison, his children: Kenneth Sterling, Jr., of Wellsville, Cindy Sterling, of Carlisle, Ricky Sterling, of Wellsville, Susan Holmes and her husband Larry, of Dillsburg, Ronald Sterling and his wife Judy, of Dillsburg and Alan Sterling, of Harrisburg, his grandchildren: Brooke, Laura, Rebekka, Michele, Jacob and Landon. His great-grandchildren: Tiffany, Vada, Wyatt, Dean, Delaney, Holden and Liberty and one great-great-grandchild on the way. He is also survided by three sisters, of Florida and one sister, of York.
Bill was predeceased by his son, Eric Sterling and a grandson, Larry, Jr.
Services were held Monday, 11:00 am, July 8, 2019 at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA with the Reverend Walter “Ben” Zimmerman officiating. A viewing was held Monday, from 10-11 am, one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial in the Shell Cemetery, Grantville, PA.
